Stoneware Pottery by Val Neumann
Taking form, function, and color to another level
Val Neumann Potter
I have been playing with clay now for over 35 years. Starting in a high school art program that continued unto college and various workshops over the years.
By training I am a functional potter that gives artistic influence to the common everyday items like the coffee mug and bowl. I do not cut corners for the sake of production, each item starts as a ball of clay on the wheel. Each item is carefully formed on the wheel till it represents a perfect artistic representation of the item. Each finish step is performed to ensure a perfect fit in your hand, giving careful attention to the balance of the piece.

Nice places to purchase my Pottery
I have participated in several pottery competitions over the years, my favorite place is the Pottery Festival at Cambridge, WI each second weekend in June. 2002 I won the lightweight competition and in 2007-2009 I was the Grand Champion winning the throw off on the final day of the event. I am the only women to win either event.
